Living near Valencia schools

Riba-roja de Túria

Riba-roja for English-speaking families: the appointment rule the town only publishes on a poster, what it accepts when you have no lease, rental ranges and the school here.

The rule that is only on a poster

Riba-roja requires an appointment for the padrón. It says so on a printed poster, in Valencian, and not on the page you would actually read:

«ALTES DE PADRÓ I CANVI DE DOMICILI — NOMÉS AMB CITA PRÈVIA. TEL. 96 277 00 62»

A family that reads the municipality's own procedure page and turns up without an appointment is sent home. Phone 96 277 00 62 first.

The one thing Riba-roja does better than everyone

It is the only town in this belt that accepts a utility bill. Water, electricity, telephone or gas, together with an authorisation from the person housing you, when you have no rental contract yet.

Llíria and Torrent both require the property owner's signature. Bétera and Valencia city want a sworn translation of foreign documents on top. Riba-roja is the softest landing of the eight if you arrive before you have signed anything.

And like Godella and Burjassot — and unlike Bétera and Valencia — it publishes no sworn-translation or apostille requirement. For a Canadian or American family that is weeks of preparation it does not have to do.

An honest warning about the address

The municipality publishes two different streets for the same office. Its sede electrónica says Calle Horno Viejo, 8; its own municipal app says Calle Reloj Viejo, 8. We are not going to pick one and present it as fact.

Confirm it on the phone when you book the appointment — the same call you have to make anyway.

What it costs to live here

Houses with a plot commonly sit between €1,100 and €1,800 a month. About 25 minutes into central Valencia by car.

Ajuntament de Riba-roja de Túria

Calle Horno Viejo, 8, 46190 Riba-roja de Túria — but see the note below: the municipality publishes two different street names for the same office

Do your documents need a sworn translation here?

Not published as a requirement here. Riba-roja de Túria does not ask for one, which puts it with Godella, Burjassot, Torrent, Llíria and Riba-roja — and against Bétera and Valencia city, which both do. Landing in one camp or the other is weeks of preparation before you fly, or none at all.

The padrón, the NIE and the appointments, done with you

Reading how it works is one thing. Sitting in the Riba-roja de Túria town hall with the right documents, on a date you did not have to chase, is another. That is The Landing — and the call where we scope it costs nothing.

Talk it through, free

With you

The padrón at the Riba-roja de Túria town hall, the appointment diary, the documents, and the room. We accompany, translate and prepare.

For you

The school applications: prepared and filed in Spanish, inside the admission window, by us, and followed until there is an answer.

Not us

The immigration filing and the lease in law. Those stay with the lawyer and the gestor we introduce — we search and coordinate housing, we are not your estate agent, and we never sign in your name.
