How much of the week is taught in which language

There is no official figure for this school, and that is worth knowing. The Generalitat publishes a language split, stage by stage, for público and concertado schools, because they are inside the plurilingual programme. Private schools are outside it, so nobody is obliged to tell you how much of your child’s week will be in Valencian, in Spanish or in English — and the schools an English-speaking family looks at first are almost all private. Ask the school for its Plan Lingüístico de Centro, by stage, in writing. Centre 46019532.

What it costs

Caxton publishes its fees: €842 to €998 a month, which is €8,420 to €9,980 a year, and lunch is included in that figure. Those are the 2026/27 numbers.

Tuition is not the whole cost. What is not published, here or at any of the ten schools we checked:

  • The uniform. Not one of the ten publishes it.
  • Exam fees. Eight of the ten do not publish them.

Those are the numbers a family discovers in the second year, which is why they belong on a page like this one and not in a brochure.

The entry points are not equal

Places move by year group, not by school. A school with room in Year 4 can be closed in Reception and in Year 7 in the same September, because those are the years where a cohort forms.

If your child's entry point is one of the formed ones, the question is not whether the school is good. It is whether that year group has a place at all, in the year you are landing — and no website answers that. It takes calling the admissions office about that exact year and getting the answer in writing.

Who it suits

A family that wants a British education continued without a break, that values the size and the range that comes with it, and that is planning far enough ahead to sit on a list if it has to.

Who it does not

A family landing in weeks rather than months at a formed entry point, or one whose priority is the children becoming fluent in Spanish inside the Spanish system. Caxton teaches Spanish; it does not immerse in it.

Does Caxton College have a place in your child’s year?

Places are allocated by year group, not by school, and no website answers that. It takes calling the admissions office about that exact year and getting the answer in writing. That is The Shortlist, €989.
